Agustín García-Gasco Vicente

On January 8, 2009, His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI accepted the resignation to the pastoral governance of the diocese, that the Archbishop had presented after his 75th birthday on February 12, 2006, appointing him at the same as Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese of Valencia until April 18, 2009.

Appointed Titular Bishop of Nona and auxiliary of Madrid-Alcalá
on 20 March 1985.

Ordained Bishop
on 11 May 1985.

Appointed Archbishop of Valencia
on 24 July 1992.

Took over the Archdiocese
on 3 October 1992.

Appointed Cardinal by Benedict XVI
on 17 October 2007.
